Photo of the Month – July
If you live in Calgary but haven’t been to the Calgary Zoo in a while then you’re missing out. Although I had heard about the birth of this baby gorilla last summer I had yet to go and see her in person, so I was pretty excited when I got the chance to visit this past weekend as part of a Sony DSLR Owner’s Event. It’s really amazing to see just how playful of a personality she has and as you can see from the photo this little girl is pretty darn cute too.

Spring may have arrived a bit late in Calgary this year but by the look of the apple blossoms on this tree there is no question that spring has in fact finally arrived. Spring is a time for growth and like the apple that will eventually grow to replace the blossom you see in this photo I look forward to the continued healthy growth of our little baby girl who is due to arrive in September. At the same time I want to happily congratulate our good friends Jeff and Jana on the recent arrival of their own healthy little baby girl.

Every couple of years or so the thin layer of Rhodium that is electroplated on these white gold wedding rings to give them their reflective white surface will fade away leaving them looking yellowish and dull. So it came as no surprise that after nearly two years the ring that I adorn on my left hand didn’t look quite as good as the day that I said “I do”. After leaving them with the jeweler for a few days to be re-plated they came back looking as brilliant as when they were new.
