Edna & Kevin – Calgary Wedding Wish Granted
If you’re living in Calgary then there’s a good chance you might have tuned your radio to 98.5 FM at one time or another and listened to the Vibe Morning Show. Each Wednesday morning the radio station runs a contest called “What You Want Wednesday” where listeners of the radio station have the chance to write in with their story along with their wish and have that wish granted for them. Edna & Kevin were the lucky winners of this fabulous contest based on a letter that was sent to Vibe by Jennifer at Inn from the Cold.
Edna & Kevin had previously been staying at the shelter along with their four children and had recently become engaged. The wish was for a dream wedding and in order to grant this for the deserving couple the Vibe Morning Show turned to Ciara Daykin, Professional Bridal Consultant and owner of Firefly Occasions. With very little time to work with Ciara turned to the Calgary wedding industry to rally support and help her make this wedding one that the couple wouldn’t soon forget.
I responded to Ciara’s plea for a wedding photographer via Twitter and was humbled to see the huge amount of generosity being offered by so many other of Calgary’s great wedding industry professionals. Below are a selection of the images from their dream wedding day; captured memories of a day I am sure they will never forget. Thanks again Ciara for putting together a fabulous wedding and inviting me along to photograph it. And congratulations Edna & Kevin.
